With thousands of images published across a toddler parenting blog, from activity photos to product features, mistakes happen occasionally despite good intentions, and this page explains both how images get sourced and what to do if something needs fixing.
Respecting the People Who Make the Images
Photography, illustration, and design take real skill and real time, and CozyClan doesn’t take that lightly. Whether an image comes from an independent photographer, a stock library, or a brand’s own press kit, CozyClan tries to use it thoughtfully and with proper credit wherever credit is owed.
Where CozyClan’s Images Come From
CozyClan sources images from several places, and here’s an honest breakdown of each.
Original photography. Many images on CozyClan, especially in activity and routine-focused posts, are shot directly for the site, whether that’s a toddler activity setup, a meal idea, or a daily routine visual. These are owned outright by CozyClan.
Creative Commons images. CozyClan uses images licensed under Creative Commons terms (including CC0 and CC BY) from platforms like Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, and Flickr Commons. Where a license requires attribution, CozyClan honors those terms and credits the original creator.
Paid stock photography. For certain topics, CozyClan licenses images from commercial stock libraries such as Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, Depositphotos, and Canva Pro, used according to the terms of each platform’s license.
Public domain images. Occasionally, CozyClan uses images that are no longer under copyright or were released into the public domain, sourced from archives like Wikimedia Commons or the Library of Congress, where relevant to a topic.
Brand and product images. When CozyClan reviews or features a specific toddler product, book, or tool, an image of that product may appear in an editorial context, such as commentary or a genuine review, which is generally considered fair use. Where possible, CozyClan credits the brand or original photographer.
Reader and collaborator submissions. If a reader, contributor, or collaborator sends CozyClan an image with permission to use it, it may appear on the site with appropriate credit to that person.
How Credit Gets Given

None of this is intentional, and CozyClan takes it seriously whenever it’s brought to our attention.

- Request a modification, such as a crop, resize, watermark, or a change to a linked source.
